Tunnel Vision, Inc. was founded by Erick P. Flatt, a business consultant and avid Adventure-Racer from Dallas, Texas. He was frustrated by absorbent headbands, bandanas and wraps that quickly saturated and by sweat constantly dripping into his eyes and glasses. His determination to create a better solution resulted in the Sweat GUTR; the only sweatband designed to withstand any amount of sweat!

In 2005, Greg Thurmond, an avid road cyclist and sales executive, purchased a GUTR from a local bike shop. He was so impressed by how well it worked he called the company to say thanks. Now, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Greg plays a key role in developing strategic partnerships, growing sales and distribution channels.

The GUTR was officially introduced to the cycling community at the Hotter’N Hell bike rally and The International Bike Show (INTERBIKE) in 2005. It was also introduced to a variety of other sports markets such as running and tennis at various trade shows and events. Today, it is distributed in over 25 countries and Tunnel Vision, Inc. proudly sponsors cycling teams, marathon champions and other elite athletes around the world.

The GUTR and new GUTR Hard Hat Accessory were introduced to the industrial safety market in 2007 and are quickly becoming the new standard in sweat management technology. Workers in a wide variety of markets are benefiting from a more effective solution that reduces the frustration associated with wiping sweat from their
eyes and glasses. Companies are realizing the financial benefits such as a reduction in spending for related
products and improved worker productivity.
